As well as professional training, we want to provide a centre for the community to enjoy. A Hub where creative people can come together, exchange ideas, network and take part in a variety of classes and activities.

Whether you’re looking to expand your skillset or a beginner looking to test the waters, there’s something for everyone!

MONDAYS

 

Heels Commercial Dance

8pm – 9:30pm

With Alice Rhodes. For general level dancers, not suitable for absolute beginners. A fun and inclusive class created to develop strong lines and beautiful curves. Explore your femininity, build strength and discover a whole new feline technique with this Heels Class. 

 

Contemporary Dance 

8pm – 9:30pm

With Natasha Hubert. This Contemporary class will be rooted in Release technique with other styles incorporated. You can expect a wide selection of tunes, full-bodied technique exercises and original choreography each week. 

 


 

TUESDAYS

 

Ballet

6:30pm – 8pm

With Clair Thomas. This Class is pitched at those of you with some previous experience who love Ballet. A great workout, stretching, strengthening and toning your muscles, while focusing the mind and encouraging expression through movement to music.

 

Meisner Technique Course

7pm – 9pm

With The Meisner Sessions . Weekly drop-in classes and regular workshops teaching the Meisner Technique of acting. Ideal for those wanting to explore the techniques or brush up on their skills.

 

Pole Fitness 

7:15pm – 8:15pm

With Gemini Pole Studios. Pole Fitness is an athletic approach to traditional pole dancing. Throughout our classes, we will guide you through basic spins, transitions and tricks that will build your strength and increase your flexibility. Anybody over 18, any gender and identity is welcome. These classes are suitable for students who can invert without spotting, as we will work on tricks which require a higher degree of strength, flexibility and body awareness. In this mixed group of intermediate and advanced students, we ensure that there is something to work on for everyone.

 

All Male Pole Dancing

8:15pm – 9:15pm (7th May – 16th July)

 With GMDCGMDC’s all male Pole Dancing classes Pole Dancing is an amazing way to exercise as well as being an art form, it draws strengths from Calisthenics training & Dance, It’s physically challenging, fun & sexy. Each class will involve an aerobic warm-up followed by stretching and strengthening exercises, then you’ll be learning grips, climbs, inverts, spins and tricks delivered through various sequences.

 

Tai Ji Movement 

8pm – 9pm

The gentle flowing meditative movement of Tai Ji has long been attributed to provide many health benefits. Beginners welcome in this informative and friendly class where you can learn easy exercises to stretch and loosen up every day. Connect mind with body to relax and concentrate. Principles and exercise to improve posture & balance. 

 


 

WEDNESDAYS

 

Commercial Dance

6:30pm – 9:30pm

With Ellie. Project Female commercial class is your chance to feel confident as you learn sassy new routines. Open to everyone, each week you’ll learn a new choreography to the hottest music as well as working on the performance skills to finish it all off. All levels/genders welcome! 

 

Jazz Technique

7:30pm – 9pm

With Lorraine Le Blanc. This class covers many styles of jazz which will be reflected in the routines at the end of class; Show Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Traditional jazz, Commercial jazz and more. It will be fun but a good work out, so be ready to work! Experience is good but all levels are welcome.

 

Pole Fitness 

Beginners - 7:45 – 8:45pm

Intermediate / Advanced – 8:45pm – 9:45pm

Hip Hop Dance 

7:30pm – 9pm

With Alice Rhodes. A vibrant and high energy class that will allow you to develop authentic Hip Hop techniques, as well as learning current routines that are jam packed with energy, style and performance. General level class (should have some previous dance experience) not suitable for absolute beginners.

 


 

FRIDAYS

 

Adult Kickboxing

7pm – 9pm

 With Si Tompsett, Double British Champion Si Tompsett teaches discipline, self-defence and technique. One of the best martial arts classes in the city, Si combines fight training with aerobic circuit drills to maximise your body fitness potential. Absolute beginners welcome, just bring water and prepare to sweat. 

 

BRICTT Youth Drama Group 

 7pm – 9pm

For ages 15-18.  Performing can be inspiring, thrilling & most of all fun! In our brand new youth theatre sessions, you’ll develop your skills as an actor, express yourself through performance, build your confidence, meet like-minded people, work with tutors who have years of professional experience. A great opportunity for those interested in joining our BRICTT Degree or Diploma courses. Work with other local young people, build friendships and connections and express yourself through performance. At the end of the term we will present a short play or a collection of work that we create and shape across the term.

Pure Balboa Dance

7:30pm – 9pm

You will learn the 3 P’s of Pulse, Posture and Pick-up-your-feet. The focus will be on musicality and improvised stepping to the instruments you hear. Nothing tricky – just appreciating the music and letting it move you!

 

 


SATURDAYS

 

BRICTT Academy

10am – 2pm

Our Saturday school, BRICTT Academy, offers younger people the chance to get involved in dancing, singing and acting. We want to offer a space for professional and non- professionals alike to come in, explore, develop new skills and enjoy the facilities and energy that we are so proud of at BRICTT.
