Verona Chard

Head of Vocals

Verona Chard is a performer, tutor, event and show producer, agent and lyricist. She is the vocal director and session singer for the BBC TV Drama ‘Age Before Beauty’ , 2018 and had been a ‘judges expert’ on ITV show The X Factor.

Verona is a visiting tutor at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the BA (Hons) Acting, Musical Theatre course and at The London School of Musical Theatre and London Studio Centre, and will now join BRICTT as the head of vocals on our BA (hons) Performing Arts. Verona’s performing career spans jazz, musical theatre, straight theatre, dinner theatre, presenting, pantomime, chamber music and early opera. She has performed in the West End, No 1 and mid-scale tours, Weekly Rep and in concerts, film, television, radio and the internet. She also works privately with a number of UK and International artists.

As a producer Verona has created events and shows for BBC News, The Landmark Hotel, Ealing / London Chamber of Commerce, Wycombe Swann Theatre, London Business School, local councils and many corporate companies. Verona performs regularly in her ‘Jazz In A Broad Way’ series and her band features visiting guests such as Ted Beament, John Horler, Winston Clifford, Digby Fairweather, Gareth Williams, Alan Barnes, Alec Dankworth, Clark Tracey, Chris Neill, Roan Kearsey-Lawson and many more.
