Drew Wood

Tap and Jazz Tutor

Drew Wood has been a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer for 30 years. He trained at Northern Ballet School in Manchester.

His specialist subjects are Jazz and Tap, where he has extensive knowledge. Since graduating he worked as a professional dancer in the UK, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and many other destinations worldwide. In 1996, he became the client manager and choreographer for all the shows on the UK Stena Fleet, following that, Sun Cruises, CTC Cruises, MS Switzerland and the Okabe Chain of 5 star hotels in Japan.

In 2003 he became resident dance teacher and choreographer for Brighton College, where he worked until 2014. In 2009, whilst at Brighton College, Drew set up his own dance teaching business called Adult Dance Brighton, which is today the leading school of tap and jazz in Brighton for adults. Drew’s tap class also made it to the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent (ITV) in 2017.
